Hey! My name is C. W. "Bill" Parker. I live in Barstow, CA and have for the last 45 years. I like riding motorcycles, messing around on my computer, collecting knives, and spending money. I also like to read books such as "1984", "This Perfect Day", "Animal Farm", "Brave New World", and "Watership Down". I have been working in the "Tire and Lube Express" at Wal Mart in Barstow for almost 7 years now. Wal Mart is a good company to work for. Barstow is located about half way between Los Angeles, CA and Las Vegas, Nv. It's very hot in the summer. About March and April the wind blows like the dickens. Doesn't make much difference though, when I moved here at the tender young age of nine I fell in love with it. Most people who do move away usually wind up moving back. I did! Moved away four times for a few months and came back home. The Mojave Desert is quite spectacular. We don't get a lot of rain or snow, but when it does rain it is beautiful in the spring. You would have to see it to really appreciate it. |
